Because I came to yoga through injury, props – and accepting support – have always been an important part of my practice. As a teacher, my students frequently have greater flexibility and access to yoga poses than I do. Accepting my own physical limitations, without viewing them as negatives, has enabled me to grow in so many ways. I am grateful for each limitation, for they have become my greatest growth tools in self-acceptance, receiving support, and, I believe, in teaching.
