GloForward's Mission:

GloForward’s mission is to enable women to experience a life of radiant wellbeing by providing access to holistic practices that empower and ease their journey through midlife.

The world needs its wise women to shine more light. Now more than ever.

As we age, much of our energy can spent surviving or resisting the natural changes occurring in our bodies and emotions. That, combined with the very real exhaustion of meeting life's demands while on our hormonal ride, dims our light.

With wellbeing practices designed to fit into already busy lives, GloForward offers women the ability to live from a more balanced, rested and nourished place. From there, we can radiate more wisdom and kindness into the world.

Welcome to GloForward!

My name is Satya Robin, and I’m owning the change by embracing my silver hairs and hormonal flairs. My wellbeing depends on the practice of self-acceptance.

Satya is the name I chose for myself at midlife, upon completion of an important yoga teacher certification in psycho-spiritual development. The name felt beautiful to me, and its meaning resonates with a grounding principle of my life.

As one of the core practices of yoga ethics, Satya guides us to think, speak and act with integrity. It represents the power of the word when used for the greater good.

For me, it’s especially relevant now that I am stepping into my wisdom years. It calls me to lead from my heart with kindness.

A fascination with motivation and human behavior guided my early career as a research and communications strategist in the political worlds of Washington DC and Los Angeles. Moving to New York City in the aftermath of September 11th, I funneled my passion for behavioral research into branding for a global corporation.

At the same time, I also dove into the world of personal transformation, Buddhism and Yoga to find peace in a world shaken by tragedy. I also wanted to better understand the destructive behavioral patterns that led to my own stress-related illnesses and extra 30 pounds.

Through these practices, I found the courage to leave a life that no longer fit me. In 2009, I closed the door on my Manhattan home and a 20-year business career, to embark on a two-year journey of healing and self-discovery. My adventures took me to Costa Rica to live and train as a yoga teacher and through northern Spain, where I walked a 500-mile pilgrimage on a hip saved from replacement surgery through my daily yoga practice. My Hero’s Journey is described in my first book, Do You Think You Will Break?

Since 2009, I have been teaching yoga and creating therapeutic programs to help students access their innate wisdom and power by working with the body and its systems in a restorative way.  My personal story of dramatic healing and purpose transition informs my work as a transformational guide and mindfulness facilitator for personal wellbeing and leadership development.

I hope you will walk along with us on this journey of wellbeing!
